15 years for tried repossession of sports memorabilia.
All white jury and judge this time ?

He's lucky the G didn't go after him for income tax evasion on all the memorabilia he sold. He "owes" $ to the family of the boy he chopped up remember? As for "his" property? When you arm your posse and go after stuff you think is yours, after waving the guns around, then you'd better be able to prove its your own. Not that it matters. You generally cant jack up people with guns anyways. Most of all when all four of your posse is also a bunch of rats who will rat you out.

And dont do it in Nevada. Slick lawyer con jobs dont work there like they do in California.

Here, I found an audio tape on your guy doing the jack. http://www.tmz.com/2007/09/17/o-j-confrontation-caught-on-tape/

Karma is what he gets. Chops off his wife's head, gets away with it, gets 15 for this.

Actually I just read he was sentenced to 33 years and is eligible for parole after 9. Thats a pretty good jolt, more then he would have gotten here. I caught a guy last year, gun in hand, after he'd pistol whipped a liquor store owner and had him face down on the floor and was going thru a safe when I walked in. He was allowed to plea for 12 years, and will probably be out in 6. And this guy had a decent sheet too. So 33 for a first felony conviction is not a bad whack.

But....criminals are not enabled and protected as much in places like that.

I get the whole "karma" thing, but if you just look at this one case and don't let the past color it...

I don't think OJ was given a fair trial or a fair sentence.

(bear in mind i'm HAPPY this scum bag murderer is going away, but I have to say this is the second time the justice system has failed with OJ)

How do you mean?  He and a group of his friends went into a situation armed and stole things that he claimed were his, now in this country just because you think somethings yours doesn't give you the right to hold someone at gun point and take it back, thats called armed robbery, a very serious felony.  Now what he did was very stupid, but stupidity is no excuse.

On what do you base this opinion? There were recordings of the situation as it went down.
DEFINITION OF A VETERAN
A Veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life."

Not only was he tape recorded but detectives are assigned, and in a case like this there is close supervision and with a States attorney office, the witnesses are questioned independently and have to be deemed "credible" before charges are approved. And especially before a case is brought to trial. And four members of his gang testified about not only OJs guilt but their own as well. Then add all the other witnesses and victims......Exactly how did justice fail?

This was a slam dunk. With a jury 1/2 way honest, responsible, and following the rules, this was an easy one for a States Attorney. They had four of OJs own buddies testify against him and have to stand up to cross examination by his latest dream team.

It was, however, within the States Attorneys rights to not hit him with all those charges. I guess they decided OJ didn't warrant a pass, nor were they required to give him one. And they wouldn't give any of us a pass either, nor could we afford legal dream teams. So why would you feel sorry for OJ ? The guy beat a double murder and thought he was bullet proof. And the state of Nevada taught him different.

Its really kinda funny when you think about it, and I'm sure Maverick understands. But here are all these people feeling sorry for OJ but if a cop screws up once, even if hes spent a career serving faithfully, then the Public is calling for his head to be chopped off. :lol Ive seen blocks of ghetto houses empty to protect/support gangstas were locking up, even tho those same gangstas are tearing their community apart. They see a copper slapping one of them upside the head and their all lunging for their handycams and calling the news. :lol

Hahahah, I love this job. The longer you do it the more you  :lol. Sometimes I drive around for hours laughing hysterically.

IIRC the jury based their decision on the tape recordings and not on any testimony.  When they talked to the Jurors afterwards they said their guilty plea was solely based on that recording, and pretty much ignored everything the Defence threw out there.  Sounds kinda biased to me.

The guy who pulled the gun testified that OJ had no prior knowledge that he even had a gun, and that no plan what so ever to was premeditated to "rob" the people.

And HOW can you have a Jury of your Peers w/o any people of your same race?

Not to mention how can OJ steal something that was supposedly stolen from him in the 1st place?

From what little I saw of the Defences arguments, it would have more than enough to put a "reasonable" doubt in my mind re: the charges if I was on that Jury.

I just had a sense from the get go that the State of Nevada was gunning hard for OJ.  I think if he was just an "average joe" there would have been diff. charges and a diff. sentence.
