The same properties that are applied to the armored glass at the back of the Yak's cockpit and to gunsight glass should be applied to the canopy braces so the icons dinnae disappear behind them.
In the real kites it would take less than a second to move our heads the needed half inch to see anything hidden by the braces, along with our eyes being focused at a long distance to let us kind of see around the braces.
In AH neither of these apply. Physically moving your head does nothing, and adjusting the position of your point of view is convoluted at best, especially during combat. It's not always possible to remove a hand from the stick or throttle to adjust your POV position to keep the enemy kite from being blocked by one of the rails, though physically seated in the cockpit of your kite you could move your head up/down/left/right a little and still maintain your visual lock on the bandit.
