let them run from 3 or 4 times the distance they do currently. so a C47 could land further out and drop the troops off at a safe distance to start the ground assault. Let troops take out ack before a maproom(for the cost of their life still). Let [;ayer who have bailed out walk into the maproom and count as a troop that must wait in the enemy tower unable to move untill the base is taken or quit the capture and not count. Do stuff with troops, anything you like but some kind of change would make capture less stale. Colums of troops moving through the forrest from 3 miles away with no icons. Whole new set of tactics to consider and tactics is what makes the Ma fun mostly. Thanks!

uhhhh... not from too far away... can u imagine 20-30 goons noe..  ugh... bye bye framerates.. etc..

but i agree the ground war could use some enhancement. i can see it coming down the road.

make em like GVs on normal vis range. not drawn in beyond a few k. also when they are running they should have no icon.

LOONEY GOONEY.

Has always been a staple of LCA and 357th grab tactics, this would only make it so much more effective.

Please god no...

It is next to impossible to see troops from the air without the icon, try it...
I supposed the icons would be a good replacement for the missing friendly troops that would probably be fighting them IRL who could report positions.  Generally, troops aren't running through forests into a town with only airplanes and tanks searching for them...  Also, C47's don't generally land in the field and let troops out that way...

Would make caps much more interesting (and MUCH more challenging) if paradrops were forced.

Not a bad idea but can see where it could cause problems though.

don't know about pilots counting as troops,

you'll get all them horde Bish mishuns bailing 10 planes over town after killing every hangar and town being dead.  and running in.

A 262 or temp won't be able to kill their lone brave goon driver and make the horde  :mad:
