I had the Old sticky removed as that link was no longer valid.  Problem was I didn't know Skuzzy wouldn't sticky the new link because they are gonna review into having to submit soundpacks now before they will sticky them.  Aparently there have been alot of issues with some soundpacks that seems to be the most problems Skuzzy find it to be.

He always advises not to use them.  But hearing that dreaded noise they call plane engine sounds gets old fast...and boring  :)

Ok people, the Long awaited update to Sketchworks soundpack.  Its now called Sketchworks 2009.  Enjoy.

 :salute

AK I appreciate the work.  Some nice sounds.  However, I found the jap planes to be 'weird' sounding...rather hard to handle and the sounds variate WILDLY from a nice even level.  I had to adjust levels like crazy on each plane to keep things within reality.

IE: Flying in a p51, engine sounds like a fan running instead of an engine...turn it up to hear it, then when you fire you jump 1' out of your seat because the guns are soooooo loud in comparison.
Then when you turn your head, the sounds down change direction...might be a result of using a soudn pack or whatever so.

All in all the sounds are amazing.  Nice airraid sounds.  If you were to change one thing it would be to level out the sounds and REDUCE the bass on the sounds.  I had to reduce my bass to 0 so it didn't shake stuff off of my desk. :)  Probably going to try another, mix the two and be happy. :)

Thanks!

why does the 190 D9 sound so... muffled as if it were several hundred feet away?

Ty, and yes I know I have to level my sounds out some.  Its very time consuming.  This pack right here took me 2 months, 5hrs a day to get this far.  After that I needed a break, lol.
As for the p51 sounds like a fan, you are correct.  Here is the actual in cockpit sound of a p51d:

Problem with Ah sound files is they all have to be in mono at 22khz 16bit.  Doing this really takes away from the sound clarity.

Seriously?  I understand keeping the default sounds down to an easily downloadable size, but for addons like sound packs... shouldn't the size and quality of the sounds/work be up to the artist and player using them?
