I don't get what people have against the HO.
It was a valid tactic back then. I use it constantly.
I'm not going to HO an A-20 for example but if for some reason its to my advantage
to fly head to head with you guns blazing I will do it.
I really don't care what happens to my plane.
I know its stupid but when I fly I care about my little Pixel Pilot
The only reason that I can see people not liking the HO in this game
is that you spend so much of your time in AH2 travelling
just sitting back on auto pilot and waiting to get to your
destination. So after a nice long flight to the fight to get HO'd and be back
in the tower or struggling to keep a plane under control in the first minute of battle can be frustrating,
but when is loosing not frustrating.

some insight on Masonz. I fought him a couple of weeks ago in his F4U, he couldn't out fight me in a 109G-6 against his F4U, and I did that two times, once wil he had a pick freind with him.

Because as Ak-AK and others have said, its a skillless maneuver frowned upon by those would practice and study ACM's. If you are fighting for your life (the real one not a "game life") its may be a valid tactic, but in a game its cheap shot. Kinda like a kick to the nuts, if your about to have tha crap beaten out of you by half a dozen guys its OK, but if it's a 1 vs 1 would you do it?  :noid

Yep

As for the film, there was no HO and run. He made the zero brake off the friendly then went after the other enemy coming in.

Think I've found the cure to the regular hoers:
For one night, we should all up 16's and LA7's maybe even a few ponies, then we all just circle round our respective ack, or even a few hang around just outside it's range, never flying above 3k max, we then wait till soneone is inb then we all gang and ho them, afterwards we resume circling the ack.
I'm sure after a night of what could happen and the distinct lack of any structure or fun would maye have it's desired effect?

Im going to have to say that this thread is a waste of disk space. We've heard all these comments before and there is nothing new here.
