FPS question
« on: December 11, 2008, 09:20:01 AM »
I am thinking of upgrading my pc. The new one I am buying is off a friend, and he says that when running Counterstrike, he gets 68 FPS. I was wondering what this would equate to in AH? Theres no point me buying it if its going to be worse than my current computer. Thanks everyone

I'd have a better chance in running into a Dodo Bird in the middle of rush hour, walking down the I-5 with two hookers in tow before I see a useful post from glock89- Ack-Ack

Get the hardware specs of the computer and post them in the "Hardware and Software" forum (i.e. CPU Make/Model/Speed, RAM, video card make/model/ram...)

A DXDIAG output would be the best.

Might ask the seller if he will send you a DXDIAG output.

You should get better FPS in CS 1.6 than you do in AH.  The original HL engine is what, coming up on 10 years now?

Yea fulmar it should be better, esp for 1.6.   Mac I should be home in about an hour, (5:30 est) I'll get averages for both and let you know.
