How bout "killable" turrets on buffs?

Or, if they already are just make it a little more realistic. Several hundred rounds should pretty much guarantee a dead tail gunner.

Just curious... how many buffs did you fly through the virtual battles of AH? I experienced enough turret damage, especially from MG armed planes.

You can knock out gunners.  I was flying a B17 the other night and took 3 attacks by a P51... lost my top and bottom ball turrets, and my 2 waist gunners. Also lost 3 engines, some fuel tanks, an aileron, and something else I forgot.  Talk about being a little nervous while limping back to base.

Still managed to have my tail gunner and nose gunner survive though.  The tail gunner actually managed to take a piece out of the P51 which ran home... as did I.

I read once that the life expectancy of a bomber tail gunner durring an attack was measuable in seconds.

I think the way it is now you can knock out the guns (it happens to me too), but there appears to be a big gaping hole where rounds should land and kill the gunner.
