dump the dumb perk system! and make early war and late war arenas (maybe even a mid war) or one big map separated somehow to keep the "good" planes from going to shoot down the early war planes.

This will at least make it possible to fly the early aircraft without being easy prey.  I would think that this would help to make it so the lesser used aircraft would be used more.

I think the current system works great.  It offers incentives where there should be incentives and balances the things that need balancing.

I can already hear the whines at whoever takes up the 'best' of the early war rides to grab all the perkies with.  Then everyone will whine that it should be moved into mid-war, or that the type spanned the dates defined and its not clear where it should go.

No, the fact that the current system is adjustable and not based on a draw the line at this date or an all or nothing approach is one of the reasons it works so well.

Leave it alone.   :D

I am still convinced HTC _really_ knows this business and the perk system is a good example.  Take a look at another recently released ww2 themed game (if you can wait till it loads) and you'll see how spoiled we are.

How about the 262 being available to the top scoring 25 pilots for each country?Would add incentive to landing kills and would be historically correct and most 262 pilots were "Elite",handpicked pilots. This would prevent the horde of 262's that would appear and you would be sure that whoever was stalking you in that shark-shaped jet meant business.. :)

Where and how did you come up with such idea? The best of the early war would still have hard time against the best of the mid war!!! Also it could not just "grab all the perkies" since it is the best of the early war... worst of the early war could earn more perks than the best. Just like worse planes can earn more perks than the best planes in the current perk system.

LOL... many people tend to think that the current perk system does NOT wrok so well. It is not bad but it could be better. 80 pts for Tempest vs 7 pts for C-hog vs 0 pts for Niki and 190D-9.... just an example.

The "problem" discussed in this thread is not the perk system though... it is the current plane setup. Late war planes simply rule the sky.

Surely he know the business many times better than most people. Still no-one is perfect and suggestions from customers may be very valuable for him.

AH is a developing and continually changing game. That is why many players keep on hanging and waiting for it to develope further. If it was left alone and frozen to current stage, many players would give up and leave eventually.

This wouldn't work because then you would have people complaining about spending 30 bucks a month and not getting even a chance to fly the same planes as the next guy paying the same amount. God knows "I" would never be in the top 25 of **Any** country, but i would like to fly an ME262 once or twice. Your system would prevent that from ever happening. Besides, i don't see hordes of Tempests, i think i have seen 2 since i started playing again about a week and a half ago.

Double the perk points for every thing, and give every body a monthly start bonus of 100 points.

Every body, even the newest newby, gets to ride the 262 once a month.

For about 14 seconds in my case......

no online game , especialy role play game dont give a full bonus  to the newbies newbie

anyway  in TA u can fly any plane , all free there and is it best place for the 1 days coming newbie

another thing about perk points,  even now just check out how much perks u rack up in 109f4 with 1 kill  early planes giving  big perk gain !! even now

if to help the gangbang  problem , if we use  perk point multiplicator  who depend and change contineusly on Country numbers

can be a situation when  YOU in 109 f4 fly for the country who haz 30 players and u kill some midl era plane  but the kiled player belong to the gangbangers who haz 80 players YOu earn 3 perk point for destroed plane + multiple for low numbers , lest say for exaple 3,  you already have 9 perk point

if u land is it 11 perk

u need another 9 kill like this and 262 just for you

the important thing   262 cost 100 perks u go u fly u kill u land , 100 not stayin there but half of them, 50 going away

just a exaple   even a newbiest newbie can get 10 kills if realy wona fly the 262

and the perk multiplicator who depend on country numbers can be the best solution  for gangbang problem

just a example on the idea , sure it need to be worked

I really think you guys are putting too much emphasis this perk point system as the cure all.

I have 400 perk points - I don't use them, and probably never will,  because I don't like to fly the planes that require them.

How many people fly perk planes every time they have enough perkies to fly them?

I see a tempest and a 152 perhaps once or twice a week.
