A reason to bail
« on: December 20, 2008, 05:20:50 PM »
what's the point of bailing other than to get a nice view or camping the map room. I say that each time you bail succesfully, a new score is awarded, survival rate. The more you're able to bail and live succesfully, your rate go up.

the game is concentrated on combat, not on shaking the screen.

You might examine the scoring system again. Seems you have missed bailing has already an influence beyond getting "a nice view".

Actually, more and more, if I don't have any kills to land I bail rather than go through the hassle of landing. It used to be one of my goals was to get killed no more than 50% of the time. I did pretty good with that. Now it doesn't really matter as sometimes I jump from the plane too low and get killed. No biggie to me anymore.

So, If I see a con on radar heading to one of our fields and up and see it's some bombers up at 10,000 feet, I'm not going to go through the hassle of trying to climb up to get him. I just bail and go somewhere else.

I know how you feel, I used to just bail when I saw say high buffs that I didn't feel like climbing up to.
I just thought that was too gamey and real unrealistic, so I land whenever I can now, just a way for me to squeeze a little more realisim in the game
