 Oh gawd.I tried that and the friendly collisions on take off and landing just made me run.

In the old version (Fa2-2.5) you could taxi no faster than 10-15 mph on the ground over damaged runways to get to a clear patch to take off from. In base captures you cratered the snot out of the spawn areas and the sides of the fields so people couldn't taxi over and lift from there.

I remember long ago when I tried FA I was impressed with the P-39 taxiing out to takeoff.  Dust from the wheels and the lighting were gorgeous.  Also enjoyed occasional EXTERNAL views of fighters in action -- that being-in-a-movie sensation. 

And that was about it.  A few other look-sees and never played it again.  Nothing compares with Aces High.
