Today...
« on: December 27, 2008, 05:03:27 AM »
Went to gamestop, and got Call of Duty World at War, and Ace Combat 6, Fires of Liberation.

Was playing for like 6 hours and didn't even know it.

(PS, don't ever go to gamestop the day after christmas, you think you see some freaky bellybutton @%@# at Walmart on a packed day, don't get me started at gamestop.... *shudders* )

Beat Gears of War 2 Christmas day, ehh, it was alright, CODWaW is a lot mroe addicting, same with Ace Combat.  :rock I'd definately get both of them!

I went to GameStop with a 25$ gift card and a 25$ for an online gift certificate. I go there, they said I can't get WaW because you can't use the certificate at the store. They said I could do a direct download though. Go home, go online and get on their site. Get the order all set and they don't have planes to put in gift cards OR certificates. Go back to the store and they said I have to have it shipped. :furious . So, I overnighted it at about 4PM and it came the next day.

I've always been a big fan of COD and MOH series :aok
There's also another one I found called Civil War A Nation Divided. It's got the same graphics as the early COD/MOH games. It's pretty cool, but after you play the WWII games it's kind of a challenge to use the weapons in the civil war era.

Personally the COd games are getting old. 4 WWII era and 2 Modern (COD6 is modern). I was hoping they could do a 'Nam one. Future warfare isn't very fun.

Also found this riddle on another site, thought it was very cool:
Quote
In a World in Conflict, will you and your Brothers-in-Arms form a Company of Heroes and earn the Medal of Honor by answering the Call of Duty to rescue the Hour of Victory from the Day of Defeat?

Very addicting, sadly though, not very many planes. Ace Combat 4 and 5 had a much larger plane set, in Ace Combat 6, you only get 'bout... 15 planes maybe, as in Ace Combat 5 and Ace Combat Zero, you got as many as 30-40. F-15 is freaking awesome in Ace Combat 6 though.

I plan on getting CoD4 tommorow, and I'd like them to do a CoD Vietnam thing, but I don't know. I assume it's up next. As they finally went around to the Pacific Theater...

I do wish they had Killzone 2 on XBox.... :cry I loved that game on the PS2.

1+44 you'll like COD4. COD4 was based off COD5. If you like COD5 youll like COD4 even more. Nam would be nice, but what could they do for Multiplayer? Not many maps, really...

Edit: Or maybe they could make a nice, long, juicy single player instead and a smaller Multiplayer.

Id like to see them do another Pacific one!!  Do 3 different campaigns, one American (Guam, Guadalcanal, Iwo Jima) One British (Hong Kong, Burma) and One Chinese(Name any battle)

I would like to see a Vietnam one as well, start out early nam and end just before the withdrawl in 72.  Wouldnt mind seeing an Operation Iraqi Freedom/Enduring Freedom one as well!  Maybe even a WWI or Korea one as well!

IMHO, they shoulda done Guadalcanal, that would've been good. Guadalcanal, Tarawa, Saipan, and Iwo Jima. If it were in order, it would probably be these as I stated. As IIRC, the Army took Guam. Maybe the fall of the Phillipines would be cool? They'd still be equipped with Springfield rifles, so it could be like you defending and either getting captured/killed at the end of the battle or in captivity, or being one of the lucky few who left with McArthur.

I'd like to see a WWI type one... Like start it out as a French Soldier in 1914 defending, then a Brit at the Sommes attacking, then finally, an American Marine at Bellau wood, or maybe a 1st Infantry Division soldier at Cantigny.... that one would be good.

As for Vietnam, there's many battles they could do. Ia Drang Valley, (We were soldiers battle), Khe Sahn, Hue (there's many more I remember, just can't remember them off the top of my head)

Are all of those on twitch consoles or on PC?
DEFINITION OF A VETERAN
A Veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life."

Call of Duty games are on PC, but you need a pretty high-end system to play them.

Oh, and just found out today, our gamestop burned down... well, better wait a while before getting CoD4.
