Ground vehicles views

In most if not all the GV, the commander and other crew members were able to stand up with as minimum as half of his body outside the vehicle. From there, they had a perfect visibility outside the GV and they usually were equiped with binoculars.
IMO, external views are correctly dissabled for GVs, but two more views should be implemented:
1 - standing up with the head out and well above the top of the GV.
2 - Same as previous one, but with binoculars (same effect as tank gun sights).

In the two cases the head movement should be as free and quick as in airplanes.
In both cases you should be able to drive, accelerate and brake your GV, perhaps even to control its weapons.

Agreed!

Plus, make it possible for the "Commander's View - binoculars" to judge the distances to ground targets. And while at it, make those HE rounds a bit more powerful  :)

We'd be seeing a LOT more ground artillery fire then. Storming the base with Panzers and Osties would be as much as an alternative to air-powered strike, once the Binocular view can judge distances and confirm tank gun hit-or-miss.

Oh yes, then we'd be seeing a lot more of "The Eastern Front"  :)

Binocular view would help utilize the tanks much more  :)

GV pilot in "Commander's View" should be very easy to kill. Just one bullet hit or near by bomb make the "job".

You know that army rule "Keep your heads down!"

better yet have code for buttoned and unbuttoned views.

unbuttoned tanks would be quite easy to kill crew especially commander.

current panzer view is just fine from commanders position.

what i dont like is how main gun is slaved to the mg gun.

it pisses me off.

"what i dont like is how main gun is slaved to the mg gun"

If you don't want the main gun slaved to the MG, jump to another position from the MG before you jump to the main.  The main will stay where you left it.

excellent idea there fester
yes to MORE HE effect
veiws on vehicles should not be anywhere as limited as they are now.M16 gun veiw is like looking out of a knights helmet eye slots!
if you was looking for targets on this gun you would have full veiw to search then put the gun toward target before you put eye to the sight right?

From the driver position of the Panzer, you can raise your head above the skin for an outside view in all directions.  Kind of like an unbuttoned view.  You have two forward views so you can save one as default, and one unbuttoned.  The other views you may as well set high since you can not see anything from inside.

I have also did the same in the ostie, all the gunner views to see over the sides.  In the forward view, you can set one high, and the other default view looking through the sights.

You have binoculars in any view if you use the zoom, but a range finder would be nice  :)
