2009 Central Texas Airshow
« on: January 03, 2009, 06:24:55 PM »
Well, shoot, since everyone's talking about get togethers.

Any of you fellas that live in Texas, if you live close enough to temple to hit up the Airshow, maybe we could have a bunch of AHII fellas get together there.

http://www.centraltexasairshow.com/site/

May 2nd and 3rd. (this used to be in Georgetown... wish it still was)

Hopefully, our Georgetown B-25J Devil Dog'll be repaired in time to fly out there. (Had a what do you call it? I can't remember from Avation, I think it was something like a small explosion caused by over heating. like _______ combustion... I don't know... but yea, messed up the engine, they've been repairing it for some time now)

So, if any of you fellas can, see if you're free on those days. It'll be in Temple Texas.
No one knows what the future may bring.

the site says 2008, and there are already pictures from it posted on the site.

just a guess but I would say it already happened.

yeah, i don't think they change their advertising until about a month before the thing.
don't know why ~ they could just as easily change it to the next years event all the way back in June.  they definitely have it scheduled that far back.

it's around the same time each year, right at the beginning of may ~ same place, same times, usually the same performances, etc.

I just googled "Central Texas Airshow 2009" and that's what I found :)

So, I'm assuming that this year, it'll be on the 3rd and 4th. Not sure though. :salute
