I dont think 1000 lb bombs were available thats why they are left out . also the stuka cant carry the monster bomb either.

Not a vital question, just a curiosity.

A P-38 expert confirmed that the P-38s in Africa rarely carried bombs, and then only 500lb bombs on those few occasions late in the campaign.

Might want to fix the rules then, as it states the max load for the Ju87 is just under 4000lbs (meaning that's the cookie).

Also might want to say "no 1000lb bombs" instead of "no 2x1000lb bombs" on the P-38G, because you can take 1 bomb and a DT (and maybe 1 1k bomb by itself, can't recall if there's an option without the DT).

Care to join me in a 109F squadron? It is one of only 2 groups not authorized to carry ord (202 squad is the other)...

Too many scenarios I get stuck carrying ord and I'd like to avoid that. Reminds me of Stalin's Forth scenario, we were supposed to be in Yak 9Ts and A20s (I was told less than 20% of the time would be A20s), we never got out of the A20s all scenario.

Does this meane we can request FL positions for the scenario already?

It's still early.  The rules aren't finalized, and we don't have CO's yet.  Once we have CO's, we'll open registration, and at that point, people can volunteer for Group Leader positions, etc.

My guess is that it will take a few weeks until we have CO's finalized.

Whoa, I'm not a good leader, heck my leadership abilities are worse than my flying skills. So, you're looking at a minimum of a 180% loss rate per frame if I lead (180% since you get 2 lives per frame).

Reading the changelog on the rules, it gives some Ju88s Stukas in case they want to dive bomb. This is said to be a balance to the allies using A-20s as attackers instead of formations.

Well, why not just allow the Ju88s to fly without formations as dive bombers? They have dive brakes already. Why drop them back to stukas?

I thought about it.  But, as far as I was able to tell, Ju 88's weren't used much at all for dive bombers (even though that ability was in the original design spec).  Also, with a full bomb load, it would be unbalancing, I think.
