vehicles and boat to slow

I think its a little boring, that the vehicles and boat are so slowly, that you can hardly use them to anything. It takes like Hours to drive from one city to another, who wants to just sit and wait that long, too get shot by a plane, in about 2 secs.

The ships are also to slow, and you i dont think you can use them to anything, useful other than, if you just like to sail around, and do nothing. I have tried to use the boat in combat ONE time, but normally the planes are flying in 5 ft or more, and you cant shoot at them.

I think it would be more fun, if the two other types of weapon (vehicles and boat), could be used for something good.

Well thats my appinion

It's the way they are used that makes the difference between a boring cruise or a hair raising fight for life. I have 147 kills in a PT this TOD, 2 cruisers along with 2 carriers sunk also. Some of the maps are more GV/PT friendly but you can find those kind of fights if you look in the right places  :D

There are remote spawn points for the vehicles.  Hit the spawn points other than H when using a vehicle and you are transported to a spot typically about 5-10 min driving time from another base.

When using PT boats from a shore base, unless there is an enemy cv off shore don't bother.  Upping PT boats from a cv when attacking an enemy field or another cv group is the best way to get action.

Remember that AH tries to reflect accurately the actual aircraft/vehicle performance.  The vehicles are modelled on historical speeds etc.  The remote spawn points are included to make up for the fact that it takes hours to drive 50 miles over rough terrain in a tank/halftrack.

If you are trying to drive/sail 50 miles to get to a fight then that is not using the shortcuts the game has already provided.  I suggest that you try out the tips above.

P.S.  Please also note that many aircraft will avoid attacking a gv as they are difficult to kill.  Don't expect everyone to line up to be shot at by an ostie, m16 or a PT boat.
