Honk if you like Aussies
« on: January 09, 2009, 07:16:15 PM »
Was out playing disc with our Itzy this afternoon and realized what a fun breed they are for activities. It's also amazing how watchful she is of our 10 year old daughter and her analysis of strangers.

Always had dogs as a kid but Itzy is the first dog I ever trained (along with professional help). She's a quick learner as well.

You dont see to many of the Aussie shepherds around, mostly see Blue Healers or Kelpy's workin on the farms in Oz.

Might want to put a pic up Rogwar and display this beast...

Pure bred Australian Shepard = way too much energy.  Even at 6 or 7 years old this dog has more energy than a puppy! :)

They are very fun dogs but do require a commitment to be active. One benefit is that it has made us more active. They definitely require training.

Australian Shepherd did not originate from Australia but rather are an American breed.

Ours is a tri color like this one...

Some are like this as well...that look is typical, "Ok what are we going to do now?"

I need to get some photos of her doing this...

If you deny them food, can you bring out their instinct to kill?

(I mean, we know about Dannii but...)

The inferior capabilities of these fighters against the Mosquitoes made this a hopeless and uneconomical effort. 1.JD KTB
