Well, at least we don't have to worry about any mosquitoes or other flying bugs. :D

LOL.....valid point Obie.  I whine now because of the bitter cold.  But then come spring (May for us) I whine about the state bird (The Mosquitoe  :O) coming out of hibernation.  Generally attacking my bald donut head as if it were a fresh meat ball  :cry

I think Winnipeg is the coldest city in the world, of the cities that have a population of 600k or more.

Whats funny about being a Winnipeger  is that even though  it is ridiculuosly cold out, life goes on.
You still walk the dog, go out for dinner, play hockey or whatever your normal day involves. Lifes too
short to stay inside.  :rock

I've lived in the peg all my life, love the seasonal differences.

I read it on the internet, so it must be true !

Think we've been 30s-40s here since it finally stopped snowing last week, now it's raining again.  Same as usual.

Well, it looks like I jinxed myself.  There was a large structure fire in the next town over (Southbridge, MA) and they shut a major route into that town.  So we ended up standing outside detouring traffic from 0130 hrs and I just got relieved to warm up.  A passing motorist told me it was -4 at 0500 hrs.

Good news was that all persons were evacuated from the buildings and (so far) no fire personnel have been injured.

Negative 10 F when I went to work yesterday, Negative 15 F today.  Oh and we have tornados, I felt an earthquake last year, and the remnants of hurricanes dump tons of rain on us occasionally after they come inland.  All I need now is a volcano and a meteor strike.

Minus 5 degrees farenheit.

Oh, and did I mention that our furnace is down this morning? Old one being replaced, and we're without heat for 2-3 hours.

The forecast was for 0 degrees Fahrenheit, no clue what it really is.

This is cold for Tennessee.
