Tried the F6F thats what I flew in AW FR didnt like it here, went to the Nik which was the other plane I flew in AW didnt like it either wasnt even close.  Tried a 38 but the tail kept falling off.  Tried the 51D then decided to take a break.

P-47.

Got a kill (another P-47) that sortie too.

I can't remember for the life of me. May have been a P51 simply because I knew it. (This was back on my two week trial a number of years ago, before the Ta-152 was unperked.) Although, it may have as well been a B17 or even a 109, I simply can't remember.

B17 back in Beta 2 or 3 (can't remember). I loaded up with 24x100 pounders and launched from A1 back on the old beta map.

Suddenly I'm reminded of taking off in a B-17 in AW, climbing to 10k (when all the fights were under 2000ft) and trying to bomb a runway because you could knock out a base that way. I missed, yet still caught two guys taking off for a couple kills. :D
Ron White says you can't fix stupid. I beg to differ. Stupid will usually sort itself out, it's just a matter of making sure you're not close enough to become collateral damage.

Seriously, I think my first was a P-38J or L, and I lawndarted after a long and frustrating flight.

I think I still had my DTs on when I died too.  :o
