how about a clock

I know that some people don't like night flying.  To me there is not much difference because you can see everything.  Except maybe a plane far off in the distance.

Anyway, how about having a clock that gives you two multipliers.  One for day and the other for night.  That way you can set the clock to give you the amount of time that you want.

Like the clock can be fixed for nighttime to be from 9:00pm to 5:00am (for example).

Two multipliers can then give you the option to have for eg.
20 minutes of night and 2 hours of day.
any combination would then be available.
The hands of the clock may move a little quicker at night than when it is in the day mode but the pilots could look at their clock and know when night is coming or when morning is breaking.

We already know that, by seeing it getting darker/brighter. There also is a clock in most if not all planes.

But night is boring once the novelty wears out. Sure, you can see the icns and that's basically what you're firing at, coz I sure as hell can't see the planes.

I logged every time night was on and often didn't log back on.

Night - no thanks.

All the planes have a clock in the cockpit, which shows the "arena time".

You guys not understanding what I'm saying.

I know we have a clock and can get day, dusk and night time, but we can't set up night time turning into day then back to night without resetting the clock or waiting a long long time.

If you hadn't notice, night is 5:30 to approx 5:32 then it starts getting dusk until about 8:00 to 8:30 where it turns into day.

Now it takes a long time for the clock to reach 5:30 to get night again, and if you increase the multiplier then that makes night time shorter.

That why we should have two different multipliers.

I get it, you can have any ratio of night to day you want.. i.e. if you like night you can have night last 3 hours and day last 30 min or if you like day you can have day last 3 hours and night last 15 min....pretty good idea i think.

It's a good idea, but it would only work on your front end.  Although it would be neat, you'd feel like you were under the cloak of darkness, while it's high noon on everyone else FE.

.....Now if I could just carry around a mile wide cloud of darkness around my Lancaster!
