Can these 2 qualify?
« on: January 09, 2009, 12:15:37 PM »
Found these two aircraft I found to be interesting with the information provided could they make it in the game? They did perform missions at the time of the war.

Say Hello to Salley :D, although she is a -1A in game. Might want to ask Saxman about it.

That is interesting as a 1a. Well I would say yes then it is allowed even though it never carried guns. Question is now who wants to do a black d-hog version of sally? Or maybe all the repaired planes got an SS11 designation if repaired by this squadron?

No unarmed or non-combat skins are allowed. The c-47 is out because it has pre-war markings and was only used state-side.

The F4u "Sally" should never have been included in this game. It has no guns. It was unarmed and did not see combat. Further, in-game it's garrishly pure white (blech) whereas it's supposed to be aluminum. The black version, if it's the same plane repainted (I'm unclear about that just reading the captions by the photos) should not be allowed for the same reasons (non-combat, unarmed plane). However if the black one was armed and did fly that way, then there's no reason it shouldn't be included.

I don't have the white hog in game, and there are no red slots in my 1A skins like it hasn't downloaded yet.  Any idea why this is?  I will go download it from the skins section but shouldn't it be showing up automatically?

Thanks for clarification on the goon was not clear on the foreign shore aspect. The black version of the D-hog I am not sure of when it comes to being armed? The profile shows holes in the wings for the guns, that wont mean much I know. Would they use an unarmed fighter to do reconnaissance work? To me that would be unlikely if in the event of the chance of an enemy encounter. Guess I will dig around some more on this plane an all black F4U would be cool for the game though.

Is that skin suppose to be white of the original surface?
If i am not mistaking, wasn't there a member of the blacksheep squadron that had all the pant remover so the Japs can find him.
