I upgraded my TV last year so I'll be able to watch tv no matter what the format is.  The only problem is that I've been unable to sell or even give away 2 older TVs.  Don't want to dump them in the trash due to enviro waste considerations, but I doubt even the salvation army will take them now.

How old are your TV's that there not even cable ready?  I'm just guessing that's what your implying because anyone with cable would be able to use the TV's.

You get much better HD quality from an antenna you know.
If you like the Sick Puppy Custom Sound Pack the please consider contributing for future updates by sending a months dues to Hitech Creations for account "Chalenge." Every little bit helps.

They're cable ready, but people don't seem to want to be forced to use them with a cable box or a converter box.

You do not need a cable box or a converter box for basic cable with a cable ready TV.

DirecTV for the last 9 years here.   I'm fine and my bill is the same as it was in 1999.

Ok then, YOU buy my damn TVs.  Nobody else wants them and the reason every single time someone asks about them is the digital changeover.

An analog TV would be fine also for a game console or to just watch movies on.  I've got four already; I don't need any more.
