I am enlisting in may in the delayed entry program as a 19D Cavalry Scout. I'll be going to basic summer of 2010 since i am currently a junior in high school.

I don't think it's possible to by pass AIT.  Like in the Marine Corps., you have to complete either SOI or MCT, depending on your MOS.

This guy seems to not realize that a lot of posters on this board are prior service members....

But, if there is any validity to his claims, then congratulations on not getting the training that will save your rear end somewhere down the line.  Also, if it's true, then I feel sorry for the Army.  They're sending a poorly trained "soldier" to a relatively hot-zone that is anti-American.   :aok
