Cruise dreamed of killin Hitler
« on: January 18, 2009, 10:09:11 PM »
While most kids were dreaming of new toys, playing outside with friends and watching their favorite cartoons, Tom Cruise was dreaming about killing dictators.

doesnt it seem rather stupid to ask 'why no one tried to stand up to hitler' when he is starring in a film about the breifcase attempt?

Quote
“I always wanted to kill Hitler, I hated him,” Cruise, 46, said. “As a child studying history and looking at documents, I wondered, ‘why didn’t someone stand up and try to stop it?’ When I read the script, it was entertaining and informative to know what the challenges were and what it was like to be in the environment.”

Based on a true story, Cruise plays Col. Claus Von Stauffenberg in “Valkyrie,” a German solider who plants a briefcase bomb under a table at Hitler’s military headquarters. The assassination attempt proves unsuccessful and Stauffenberg is later executed by his co-conspirators.

And I don't know much, but I do know this. With a golden heart comes a rebel fist.

What are you talking about? Cruise volunteered to a special task force to kill Hitler two months ago. The army turned him down for some reason. Cruise was quoted saying on Opra: "What do they mean they don't need to kill Hitler?!". No official reply was given from the Army spokesman.

Yeah, I could just see this tomato joining the corp in order to fight for justice and freedom and all that good stuff.

I wish these entertainment industry types were all chia pets and we could just not put water on them.

I never knew much about scientology, always thought it was some kind of techno explanation of religion until one day I glossed over it. Boy, talk about a whacked out bunch. Tommy boy is right where he belongs.

This thread needs some additional commentary about Tom Cruise crafting his latest ingenious plot while tucked up in his doomsday bunker.
