Stick problem
« on: January 26, 2009, 08:50:17 AM »
I've been having problems with my Saitek X52, the stick as been locking up on me.
I unplug the cable going to the stick and it'll work for awhile, then lock up again.
Any ideas on how to fix this, short of a new stick?
Thanks;

A powered USB hub will alleviate a lot of stick issues.

Thanks, I have one installed. Could it be going on me, is there any way to test it?

By "lock-up" do you mean it doesn't respond to inputs, at all?

Does your powered hub have lights on it? Mine does, next time the stick goes dead see if the lights are still lite on the hub. Another thing you can check is the power saving settings of your USB ports. More often than not they are set to "allow power to be turned off to save power" or something like that.
