Dear HiTech,
When I first discovered this game after several years of playing AW (R.I.P.) I called my wife over and said "Honey, you have gotta see this!" I was in a PT boat fighting off scads of fighters and trying to shootup an airfield as the cruiser behind me was sinking. Her immediate exclamation was "Wow! What beautiful graphics, that looks like an incredible game." Now my wife works for SUN micro and she's seen me playing AW, so she could immediately tell the difference between the oldie moldie so-so flight sim I'd been playing and this game.
My hat goes off to you, you've done an incredible job. In fact, you worked in EVERY SINGLE improvement I wanted made to AW in one fell swoop! I'm honestly looking forward to see how the game continues to develop and mature and am really pleased you don't have the same arrogant "this isn't GROUND war!" attitude that some developers who shall remain nameless had. Land, Sea, and Air - what a game.
Also, my congratulations on doing what WW2OL still can't do without half the fanfare, empty promises, or whining.
That said, don't let negative commentary depress you. Prior to become a pastor, I used to work as a systems administrator and the only time anyone wanted to talk to me or give "suggestions" was when something was going wrong. I never actually received a call saying "Just wanted to compliment you on your keeping the network up and running." So thanks for making this incredible game possible.
May God continue to bless you and yours in the new year.
