well I don't see them too often,never thought it was great or even good(never really flew it) but after reading this thread, I bet I will be in one in oh about 13 minutes.

I have -for the most part- put away my hurri2C, and have been trying planes I haven't flown in years, FM2 is next.



I also agree with the 205 being underrated.

Half the reason I don't fly it more than infrequently is that it's an enemy magnet.  People see your C.205 and they immediately drop what they're doing to help gang.

ink ... you're gonna fall in love all over again.

Two things you will need to get use to ...

1) It can take a beating ... unlike the Hurr

2) Coming from a one-shot cannon killer to the .50 cal buzz saw is going to require some patience.

You'll get plenty of snapshots like the Hurri, but 98% of the time, the fight will not end there. So when you take the snapshot, expect the fight to continue and plan accordingly. Most times you will knock stuff off which helps in closing the deal.

Also, don't be afraid to hold down the trigger ... it carries plenty of .50 cal ammo so don't be stingy like you might be in a Hurri. Once you get use to .50 cal gunnery, the FM2 can easily take down 5+ bad guys down in a sortie. I bagged 7 the other night and still had about 100+ rounds left.

Yes, I agree there. 109G-6 is so under rated because with any skill in the plane, you can out turn just about anything. Only problem that I have to fight in a G6 is a KI and not so much spits, and other 109s. I've got it down to a science, it takes six bullets, to take out any plane in the game, other than bombers.
Ki-61 is also a very under rated plane. I turns very well, and has a very good climb.

 I would say the P-40 B or E . I have noticed lately that there are a few guys landing kills in the P-40 series . I love it myself , no speed , horrible climb , but a pleasure to fly and fight in , and can hold a bit of damage . Not enough motor to get you out of a tight spot or pull out low and slow on the ground in a turn fight but she's a fun old girl . And in the hands  of a few of us die hards that fly it on occasion can surprise the heck  outta someone .
 On the C 205 its got great potential and can whup booty on occasion also , I see FM 2's a fair amount and its nice to see someone take them up . Good thread .

i'd say the n1k2 is underrated.

i think its cuz maybe alot of ppl think "jap plane = slow" or something..  nik CAN dive! and retains E well.. and turns... and has spray and pray magazines.. now if it could roll..................

I think the A-20 is way underrated when flown skillfully in fighter mode.

You should be able to walk away from an FM-2 in almost any late war plane without too much trouble.
