Warrior's Watch Riders:Honoring a Fallen Police Officer and Vet

Warriors' Watch Riders:

Apologies for the interruption in your day, but a short notice mission that will be too soon to make it into this week's "Weekly Ride" newsletter has arisen. For the moment, this mission is "Pending," but after phone conversations with several local police officers and police officials, we fully expect this to happen as outlined below. In fact, we were specifically asked by a friend of this officer to do something that has become a new form of tribute in police circles and was first conveived of here at WWR: What our police brothers refer to as, not a "flag line," but a "Wheel line." Using our motorcycles (and other vehicles in icy weather) to form a corridor of tribute through which the funeral procession will pass.

For those of you who are close enough to make this (and for past tributes like this one we have had riders come from many states) PLEASE follow the mission planning forums to stay up to date on possible changes in informaiton at this link:

Each fallen police officer is a wound in the side of our citizenry. These are men and women who willingly risk their lives each day, defending us against anarchy. We grieve with the friends, family and comrades of Patrolman Christopher C. Jones. The Warriors' Watch Riders.

For those of you who are too far away from the Philadelphia area to do this, please go to the WWR forums at the link above and add your voice in condolences to the family, friends and co-workers of Patrolman Jones. Those who were close to Officer Jones WILL see those condolences, and it will give them strength to know how the citizens grieve with them.

Thanks,

- Lutz
