If all your memory *appears* to be sucked dry under Vista, disable SuperFetch and ReadyBoost and that nonsense will stop. It can cause a slight performance hit or stutter when the game is loading textures.
I'll give that a whirl, thanks Skuzzy. I have been thinking of upgrading for a while anyway, the FR I've been getting recently at full video quality has been not what I wanted, so it's not like I'm running out to throw cash away because of the terrain update. Thanks for the advice, mate, I appreciate it.
Are you kidding, Archaius?
you got a very good graphic card and good memory. Only the OS could need a change.
Any ways I dont think the new terrain and stuff will affect so much the performances.

I don't think the OS really causes that much trouble, I shut most of it down when playing AH. The desktop, start bar and a whole list of other unnecessary processes in the background are shut down. This program automatically restarts my computer after I close AH because Windows is mostly shut down.
The graphics card certainly looks nice. I think my screenshots are up there with the best of them as far as graphic quality goes. It just seems to run a little bit slowly at max graphics settings. I'm sure I could get a steady 60FPS if I turned it down a little but I'd rather drop some cash and upgrade my system in order to reach a level where my computer will play AH at max video settings and still run a constant 60FPS.
If I can get that by spending $150 or $200 and sticking in a new graphics card, that sounds great.
I'll swing past the local custom computer place (where I should have bought my computer from in the first place.....) and see what they suggest as far as products go.
