Quite unrelated, but still not completely off-topic I recall some memories...
Back in the day, Lusche was a fresh pilot, new to AH and just learning the game.
And then there we were, defending our field. Just outside the ack the enemy was circling and waiting for us to pick us one by one.
"Lame picktards", "Alt dweebs" "They are afraid to fight us, so they pick & vulch" - that's what I heard on vox from my fellow countrymates as we tried to use the ack umbrella to gain a bit alt, quickly forced back each time.
20 minutes later the tides had changed. Finally we broke the cap, probably because of a gap in the enemy CAP. Now we had driven them back to their own base. Now we were circling their field, staying out of ack, trying to pick & vulch them from a superior position... And now the enemy was "hiding" in the ack, trying to get some E before daring to engage us.
And what did I hear on vox, from the very same fellow pilots than before?
"Lame ack huggers!", "They are afraid to come out and fight!", "This game is going downhill, they don't even want to fight anymore!"
I learned a lot that night...
