For the last hour and a half I've been trying to figure out WTF AH is crashing my PC. At first it was doing it every 15-20 minutes, then the last time I lasted almost 20-25.
I've done nothing to my system, other than not being able to play online for a week or more (time constraints, NOT computer issues, I should clarify). I've tooled around offline to test a CRT monitor, but loaded no drivers for this, and any resolution/texture settings I changed I have set back to what they were before.
And yet, there you have it. I was noticing some lag in the arena, but so were my squaddies. Their FPS was tanking, and they were saying so on vox. My FPS was okay, but I did notice enemy planes warping in and out to an annoying degree. I was behind a P-51D shooting at a country-mate, and he warps out 2k away before I can shoot him, and some typhie warps IN from 2k away 200d in front of me (not as helpful as you would think, I wasn't lined up on him, didn't get a shot off).
Later, I joined Blue (previous attempts were in Orange) and lasted the longest yet, but I was killing ack guns without hit sprites and without explosion graphics. A fleet of bf110s NOE dropping their DTs into the water showed up spectacularly (that was a nice sight to see) but hit sprites on ack guns and their death explosion animations did not show. About 5-10 minutes later I shot the wing off a spitfire without any hit sprites either.
And then on the 6th frakking system-wide hard-lockup (from which I had to frakking cold-boot again) I just got too pissed off to try again.
Every lockup I've checked my BIOS hardware monitors to check temps, volts, etc, nothing is out of whack. In windows there is nothing running that should not be, nothing out of the ordinary. No virii, no bugs, nothing running but AH, no special settings, NO REASON this should be happening NOW and not "ever since I installed AH"
