109G2
« on: February 20, 2009, 12:34:43 PM »
I have started to fly the 109g2 quite a bit lately and loving it. I have ntoiced one thing and was wondering if there is a reason for it.

I have noticed that when I start to put down the flaps it takes a second or so after pressing the button before they start to lower. Is this because of something that was in the real aircraft? This is the only aircraft that I noticed this in.

Maybe it was gas or air driven and that time is the time it takes for the system to build pressure to move them. Maybe it is a bug. I don't know just thought it was worht asking some of you who know such things much better than I.

I tested this several times last night and a squadmate of mine even said that he noticed the same thing.

Never noticed the flaps being any different from any other 109.

Sure the delay wasnt due to speed being too high?

I kind of know what you're talking about, it might even be a sound issue. Whatever sound file you have for 109 flaps deploy might have a second or two of silence before the noticable flaps sound comes in. If it's not that, I wouldn't worry about it, because if there's any delay in flap deployment it's never enough to change the outcome of a fight.

not sure about the other 109's but I tested this at slower speeds after I started to notice it.

I also dont notice the nose starting to lift until the noise starts which is the reason that I noticed it.Iam sure it won't have enough of a difference in the fight. I really just asked to see if anyone else has noticed it and to see if there was a real life reason for it.

thanks for your input though guys

Extend flaps in F3 on the runway? Have a visual cue and not just sound to go by?
