I agree, these three officers are getting off very light. Their dishonest actions caused the death of an innocent woman and they should be paying the heaviest penalties allowed by law.
Police should never be above the law, they are public servants, they hold the public trust and should be held to a higher standard of conduct than Joe Citizen. These 3 men violated that trust and have earned being dealt with in the most severe manner possible.
With the exception of the light sentences, the Justice system got this one right.
On a related note, this story shows how the no knock warrant has been knowingly abused and is a prime case for stopping these types of raids. If something can be abused, someone will abuse it.
