Appalachian Arms
« on: February 28, 2009, 11:17:38 AM »
Nefarious I went to Appalachian arms today,  he doesnt have any SKS.  He has a few ak47's which he is wanting 1k for.  He also has a few yankee hill ar15's.  He does layaways, and does trades.  I traded my excellent condition 1929 mosin nagant with matching numbers on an ar15,  he gave me what I paid for it.  I will be getting that ar in the next month or so.  All in all I think he is a good guy.

iK for an AK? I hope its full auto, scoped and includes about 100 rounds of ammo for that price. I've never seen them at the shop I got to for more than $700. Theyre usually one of the lowest priced in the shop.
Treize (pronounced 'trays')- because 'Treisprezece' is too long and even harder to pronounce.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll have to swing buy and check it out.
There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!

When was the last time you were there?  If you can find an AK for under 700 (even a romo WASR) you're doing very well.  Around here (when you can find them) the cheap AK's are 700, the decent ones are 900, and yesterday I saw a new Russian one for 1100 and change.

Yeah, prices are going through the roof. My WASR-10 has roughly doubled in value since I bought it.

I think he said numbers matching AR-15. Even a good tight solid used AR is going to fetch close to $1K or more. Most of the guys I know who have them will not take $1K for any of theirs. Especially since the anointed ones are wanting to ban those nasty black rifles again.
