Who are you going to believe: your eyes, or Skuzzy?

Give it a try before panicking.

I will have to manage off a tight budget, so I might have to be with this card for awhile. Will upgrade as soon as I can afford it though.

I am happy to report that Skuzzy and a few others were completely wrong on my video card projections.  :)

My Nvidia FX3400 gets: @ 512 Max Texture, Full Detail except Local Water Reflections and Smooth shadow,  FRs between 45-65 all of the time. (Have yet to test it in a big furball).

Surprised even me!

Actually, I still consider that running badly, but that is why you have to try things for yourself.  It is a matter of perspective in cases where video card performance is acceptable or not acceptable.

My home computer seldom dips below 190FPS (with vsync off for testing) with all the details on (including self-shadow) and the video card is only an ATI4850.  In the tower, the frame rates are over 275FPS.

At the end of the day, all that matters is if you are happy with the performance.  That is something only you can answer.  Glad it is working well for you.

 :O

Yes, I am happy with this FR range. Wouldn't even begin to dream what it is like playing with FRs that high, Skuzzy.
