I'd post on general discussion board but it's overwhelmed with whining.

Finally! I've ordered the CH Combatstick USB. Hopefully I will see the end of spiking, pulling, and just bad calibration. Hopefully my aim will be much better now.

I heard someone say a whle back that you could use O-rings to help increase the tension a bit. Anyone have the CH stick and have used O-rings for this?

FScott, I know you can use O-rings in the F16 and Combat sticks. If the USB sticks have the same innards you can use them there too. Just be aware that this technically voids your warrarnty when you open the base up.

I'll post the size O-rings when I get home. I have my notes there.

Thanks! I am converting over to CH from a Suncom F15 stick. which I even improved further by adding rubber inserts bewtween the top of the spring and the base, so I really need the added tension on the CH stick.

By the way I have been asking for months as to how or what stick could be used with the Suncom SFS throttle, and had no replies. Finally last night, Glasses told me that all I needed to do was just add a USB stick and then I could configure the setup in AH. So essentially I will have two joysticks hooked up, one to my throttle and the USB directly into the USB port. Should be fun!

Well.  I can't help ya with the thottle question but I did find my notes on adding the O-rings to CH sticks. Inside the base there are posts which have springs strung between them and the stick "gimble". Add size one Number 23 O-ring (the type used for plumbing) to each axis setup and you should be all set.

Thanks Westy, I wonder if even heavier springs are possible also? I will investigate when I get the stick today.
