You will see me on one or both of these sides in the coming days for a brief period, so as to not cause any alarm or panic I am announcing my intentions ahead of time.
RT has been conducting scenario based missions that have been successful and most of all fun and challenging to little or no impact to either side. I will be scoping out some areas/sites that may be used on your side for future missions depending on the map that will be used.
Since I am planning them and not actively participating in them, nothing will be disclosed or attained for any advantage. Just clean fun.
Here is an example of some scenario based missions we have done.
Thanks in advance.
Classification **SECRET**
TO: ROLLING THUNDER SQUADRON
FROM: HQ
subject: Rescue Attempt
Allied intelligence reports have indicated an unusual amount of Waffen SS troops congregating around the POW corridor.
The increased activity of troop movement and buildup of defenses along the POW corridor used for POW transport or transfer has been confirmed by Allied Aeriel recon this morning, most of this activity is concentrated at Stalag 13 and the POW camp near the NME's train depot.
The Aeriel photo's taken this morning has determined there are two Americans being held at a staging area for possible transport to the SS HQ.
These two Hi-Vis prisoners (regarded by the germans for propaganda and Intel prospects), have been identified as the Two sargeants that were with Maj General Maurice Rose on 31 Mar 1945. (Major General Maurice Rose was head of the 3rd Armored Division accidentally shot by his German captor while surrendering and his two sergeants were captured upon his death)
British intelligence has also determined these two sargeants most likely will be used for propaganda purposes and further may jeopardize the location of Allied forces and troop strength if further indoctrination by the Waffen SS and their well known torture techniques continue on these two individuals.
Weather conditions have deteriorated rapidly since this morning and current conditions are brutal in this region at this time, currently the train tracks are fouled due to heavy snow/ice and fallen trees, this might give time to conduct further Intel by ground forces, HQ expects a break in the weather within the next few days to conduct Ariel reconnaissance of the train depot area to determine an intercept site and possible ambush of the train for a rescue attempt.
Mission planners have determined the route to the target and the immediate area will be heavily guarded by ack guns and possible train mounted anti air guns.
Getting in and out undetected will be paramount for mission success due to several major Luftwaffe air bases are within striking distance of the depot and could possibly deter or compromise this attempt.
MISSION OBJECTIVES:
1. Infiltrate objective area without being compromised.
2. Disable train engine/locomotive.(to stop forward motion)
3. Disable train AA Gun.
4. Deploy at least two 10 man squads of Para Rangers to secure area and Rescue Two Sargeants on board train.
5. Establish air superiority over objective to prevent Luftwaffe interference during rescue.
6. Transport two sargeants safely to Allied controlled base via troop transport (C47) or ground vehicle.
CAVIAT: MISSION FAILURE CRITERIA
1. Do not destroy train POW/passenger cars, destruction will result in both sargeants death.
2. Failure to deploy a minimum of two 10 man squads of para rangers to target area to secure area.
3. Failure to return rescued personell to Allied controlled base safely.
