Ok here is the deal. I use cellular internet for my all my web browsing and AH. I know its not the best for gaming but for the first couple months I've been using it all has been well. Pings where around a constant 100 ms and I never had any complants about warping and lost UDP maybe once.
Now my connections for the past week have been god awful. I log into an arena and last at the most for 20 minutes before I get a lost UDP message. Most of the time its less then 5. I've tried everything I can think of. Before I log in I run enditall and shutdown every exe. program running in the background. I've reinstalled my drivers and software for 3G modem, I've run ad-aware and spybot and killed any spyware that was running. And as a last resort I did a fresh clean install of AH. Nothing seems to work.
I've run pingplots to all AH servers and the same thing always happens. Everything is good for a couple of minutes then I think my modem quits communicating with the server. It has a little light on it that is blue when everything is good but turns orange when the link starts to drop. The whole time this is going my signal strength is fine. Now if I run a pingplot to something other than a HTC server everything seems to work fine. I ran plot on download.dom for about an hour and it never dropped. I also noticed that there only one hop on my pingplots either hop 12 or 13, everything else is blank. I assume thats normal for a cellular connection?
Here is a screenshot of one of my last plots to AH, sorry the quality is bad but you get the idea. It ran good for about 5 or 10 minutes then died.
