TA - implementation help aim

if only you could remove the GUI in training arena and only leave the aiming reticle then pilots could practice better leading judgement when bogies are under their nose.

"Train like you fight, fight like you train.."

if i trained cqb with live ammunition, a lot of soldiers would be dead.
if i trained hand to hand combat at 100% combat speed, a lot of soldiers would have black eyes.

so i'm suggesting an easier way to learn, instead of a more difficult way.

Bad analogy. You don't train with invisible guns or iron sights nor would you pass on a virtual training that'd have live ammo and the same physics as the real thing, and a nice reset button to repeat said training scenario over and over.  Hence what I said.  There's a lead computed sight offline (might be on in the TA, I dunno), you just lock onto your target with TAB key. CTRL-TAB to toggle friendly lock on and off.

Yes, this option is available in the Training Arena.

You might also try dipping under their turn and they won't disappear under your nose.

Hope this helps.

I know some people like myself have a "heads up view" mapped. It puts my head position straight forward and up high enough to see over the nose a bit. I use it to keep track of things after or just before a burst. Don't let it become a crutch though. That kind of spray and pray will only hurt you in the long run.

When I have enough time I'll step offline for 15 mins or so shooting the bots at various angles and speeds before heading into the MA. Tracers off is the way I was taught as well, but that's up to you.
