Hey Raider

Yeah I think you are right on the money with this. Even though I have only been here for a couple years I was with Air Warrior for quite a long time. I have also been involved in several other online mass player games for many years each. Your observations here in AHII translate to pretty much any mass player base online game.
At my age I can make the observation that Human Nature is Human Nature and as long as these games are played by People they will pretty much progress the same way. That is until Humans evolve to some other state. However looking at the Phylogenetic Tree I think it will still be quite some time before that will happen.

I do think that the majority of the players try to improve their skills in various areas in various ways. We all have preferences in which we want to do that. So I believe that each of us perceive it a bit differently depending on where we are looking from. I believe the the part of the community that may seem troublesome from time to time is relatively small as is pretty typical for all things. They just get noticed more easily because they are in your face and cause a distinct and quick impression that is lasting.
For me I can see some improvement in my skills in various areas. Not huge but enough that I can see. However I do try to learn as I go so that my frustration level will drop as my enjoyment level increases with success.
So my opinion is that I dont believe that this or any game is really changing, just our perception at unique points of time may make it seem that way.

But like with any vacuum cleaner or automobile, "Your results may vary"
