positive negitive closure rate

 has this ever  happened to anyone else>>  your 1k or 2k out on a six  and it looks like matched ( no + no -) speed  then in an instant there they are in your  wind screen coming head on at you  but  you never saw them change direction never took your eye of him

just sounds like a warp to me. Maybe your computer dropped a packet. If that packet had the info of the turn, you wouldn't see it due to the dropped packet.

It's because you are playing a 3-dimensional game on a 2-dimensional screen.  You may have had negative numbers showing before he was suddenly right there but thought it was because you were gaining on his 6, not because he had reversed on you.  Happens to me all the time.  I got a surprise HO this way once.  Was closing to about 300 when I realized he was coming right at me.   :eek:

I had a duel yesterday with someone yesterday with icons off.  That was interesting.  Between not knowing which way he was going, how close he was, whether I was gaining or falling further away and just plain loosing sight in the ground clutter, it was a real handful.

I'm lost without an icon.
