Hello HiTech,

Love the game - thanks for all your hard work.

Can we have some of the requested new planes please.

Thank you,

Do you have any idea what goes into adding a plane to the game? It takes months of research to find the information, then months to program it, and skin it, then it has to be tested, then it can be added to the game. Thats why we only get a couple a year, because along with that they work on other things in the game to keep it running well, and up to date.

I was on a AH break at the time but didn't HTC let the community vote on the next plane and the P39 won?  You can't ask for much more 'hands on' than that.   <S> HTC

Yes.  I am a programmer too.  ;)

Yes.  That was pretty cool of them to do it in that way.  They have a lot of class.

I look forward to the next vote request from them.

I wonder, how much it is a actual programming line by line.

I believe, it is more like a curve tinkering and deadly boring testing loop to meet the historical performance in all different flight conditions / configurations.

On the programming sector, does anyone know if they use visual or console application? Or neither... those would be the most effective imo...
Sometimes, we just need to remember what the rules of life really are: You only
need two tools: WD-40 and Duct Tape. If it doesn't move and should, use the
WD-40. If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape.

HiTech is HardCore.

As for Pyro, everyone knows all the aircraft are already modeled and in the game.  There's a flat config file with boolean switches to enable them or not...once in a while he'll enable the F8F or F-86 for three or four seconds to see if anyone actually notices.
