Hey Gang!



 I could use some advice. I was thinking of getting this monitor to go with new "box" I'm building.


 1920-1200  I-Inc monitor

  Will Aces run in 1920-1200? ...I looked all over the web site I was only able to find information on minimum....and suggested  set ups no maximum info.  I know Silent Hunter runs 1920-1200.

    It hard to run away from this price.  Plus I have a friend who owns one and says it's knocking his socks off.  What say you?

It's 1920x1200, 12000 would be 10 monitors side by side.

You'll need a DVI-HDMI converter to run that screen properly. It's not aimed for computer use clearly but should work fine.

Crazy price for a HD 28".

contrast ratio is real low, my 22" has a 10,000 to 1 ratio, that one only has 800 to 1. This One is the one I have, sharp picture, no blurring, no complaints.

Wow.  Great price.  The only hesitation I'd have is it's got a relatively low contrast ratio but for the size and price I'd probably give it a try.

I run AH at 1920 x 1080.

Have to it looks terrible otherwise LOL.

have you tried other 16:10 resolutions like 1680 x 1050, 1440 x 900?

You're confusing Dynamic Contrast Ratio (10,000:1) with Static Contrast Ratio (800:1).  A lot of manufacturers like to display Dynamic and Static ratios under just Contrast Ratio.  But they are different.  Dynamic and Static are the measurements of the whitest white to the blackest black.  However, Static is measured at any instant in time in a game/movie/whatever.  While Dynamic is measured over time.  So in a sense, Static Contrast Ratio is a truer measurement of contrast.

Monitor "A" and "B" both can post specs of a 10,000:1 contrast ratio on their box.  But you may have to dig up the technical manual to find out that the Static Contrast Ratio of Monitor "A" is 800:1 and "B" is 1000:1.  Monitor "B" is going to be the better option in terms of contrast.

Yep dynamic contrast is the worst invention ever! It means your screen brightness will constantly pump up and down depending how bright or dark the overall image is. I absolutely hate the effect.

For my new build I am working on I think I like this one...Notice the response time...19xx X 1200 resolution

Just bought that same monitor for my Daughter-inlaw for LESS at the site!
