Seconded.  Either this or extend the editing time limit out to infinity.
Afk for a year or so.  The name of a gun turret in game.  Falanx, huh?
Apparently I'm in the 20th FG 'Loco Busters', or so the legend goes.

We used to have the option.   I don't see why this isn't implemented.

Skuzzy has to update the registered users group and let it be able to delete posts. Even a soft delete function would be nice.

The only downside I can see to this is if it's a thread that shouldn't be deleted (IE: 10+ pages), nobody should have the power to delete other people's replys/posts, even if they started the thread themselves.

I just want to delete my own posts, and I would have no problem with a time limit on that.

Just like it had been before.

Most forums do not allow that for, not only housekeeping reasons, but also legal.

I just want to delete my own posts, and I would have no problem with a time limit on that.

Just like it had been before.

However, since you are sort of Staff.............. I can see why you might be allotted a little extra freedom.

Also, deleting an old post, for giggles and craps, can severely screw up the database that the forum uses.  SMF has been known to crash for that kind of thing.
