AH Clip Error
« on: March 13, 2009, 12:51:26 AM »
We just built a brand new PC.
Specs are.

AMd Phenom II x3 720
Gigabyte ma790gp u4h
integrated HD3300 graphix
WinXP Sp2
2 gigs ram

Got the New Harddrive setup and everything tweaked.
Downloaded AH and installed new Logitech Joystisk, worked perfect in winxp with no configuration.. Worked in AH with no configurations. Surpised!

After loadin extra files the clipboard shows up with a page twirling around at the top of clipboard.

Went into the game and set up stick buttons.
Clipboard page still twirling around.

IN Joystick Config when you goto advance mode, the Page that swings open on the right is upside down on top of the clipboard, this is the twirling page I mentioned..

Get in plane and take off the graphix are spinning.
So I switch 512kb files and the graphix work fine.
Clipboard still shows twirling page over clipboard.

Un-install AH download from Alternate link.
Same exact thing is occuring.
Change to 512 kb texture files and the clipboard remains screwy. Twirling clipboard page.

Any ideas why the clipboard page is twirling?

Try this: rt click the black AH spade.  Click properties.  Set the game to be compatible to Win98/Me.

I got the amd patch. It didn't help.

Set it compatible with win 98 and it's fine now.

Now that is very interesting.  AMD had published they corrected the high resolution timer bug in the X2 cores for all the X3 and X4 cores.

I'll have to contact them and see what gives.
