The choices.1. How often would all stations maned. 2. How important is it to see where the gunners are shooting.3. How important is it to be able to quickly jump to a position.4. Would a formation of 7 groups be better and more usefull than 1 full bomber.5. How much extra band width would be needed to handle each station.6. How much extra memory to be able to keep track of each gun.7. How to handled unmanend guns.8. How complex would a system be to have multiple gunners handleing multiple guns.9 . How to hand off ammo loads when some one leaves.10. How long would this system take to write. In the end I looked at all of these questions, and decided it wasn't worth the few times you actulaly load up a bomber with gunners.HiTech
It is not worth what you give up. In that other life you were talking about how often was a bomber with out gunners at all vs a full load of gunners. There are drastic differences how ah gunners work vs the old AW system. Such as I do not belive AW showed tracers. The things you would give up, is controlying mutliple guns with just 2 on board. Seeing tracers from the bombers, ability to jump around instantly. I agree with you is was fun to load up a bomber on occasion, but it realy didn't happen very often, so the tradeoffs just made it not worth it.HiTech
Apparently the choice, which there actually isn't one even offered, is between multiple gunners and drones. One bomber with four gunners or a formation of three planes with one gunner. Between having two gunners if you gun with your gunner and being able to fire all guns at the same time that will bear, I don't see the issue other than "it would be fun to be a deathstar."Instead of all those gunners, you would be better off taking more bombers and forming up to support each other with defensive fire or taking fighter escorts. That is fun too.Search:wrongway
