If the first version of the 190 engine was lacking "guts", this one surely does not. Enjoy.

Fscott, two minor suggestions and a question.

Suggestions first...
1) post the file size next to each sould file link. It would help to know how big the sound is we're trying to listen to. I use Netcrap and it doesn't tell me how big a wav file is when I'm listening to it.

2) I realize your speakers have an inherent bass level, but would you mind increasing the bass a tad? Maybe set up a mirror of sorts; one for your current sounds, one for sounds with a shade more bass.

On to my question... What sound editor do you use? I've been using a combo of Goldwave and Wave Studio, neither of which have high quality bass altering ability.

1) All wavs are under 1 meg, and most are in the 400k - 500k size. The new 190 is 700k. I try to keep them small. I guess I could post the size but that would require me to go back and look at all the sizes and redo the page which I have enuff trouble just putting up the links cause I suck at html as you can tell.

2) I have Altec Lansing Speakers with a nice big bass woofer. I have it set half way bass setting, and my windows bass level is just a tad above mid setting for bass.  Adding more artificial low frequency to wavs will increase the rumble and destroy any sound quality that is already there. I do NOT add any artificial EQ to any of the samples. They are as recorded. I know that everyone doesn't have the latest and greatest speaker system but you can always add bass to the wavs with any sound editor.

3) I use Goldwave.

thanks fscott. You note on your page that you are trying to find an LA5 engine sound. The new build FW190s use the same engine so you might want to keep an eye on wether the sounds for that are available
