Flight movie collection

Im building my collection back up with a few new titles a month. I just had delivered, "12 Oclock High", "Catch 22", and "The Damn Busters". Boy its been a long time since Ive seen the Damn Busters. Many titles Ive had thru the years and they went bad, or were lost/stolen.

Anyway lay some more on me. If it was you what would you order next?
I know, "Sink The Bismarck" will be one of them.

My favorite of all time would be "Reach for the Sky", it took me awhile but I finally got it.

Some really good WW1 movies are:

Wings
Dawn Patrol/Flight Commander
Dawn Patrol (1938)
Hell's Angels
No Man's Land (excellent, along the lines of All Quiet on the Western Front)
The Lost Battalion (original version, not the Ricky Schroder remake)
Der Magische Giirtel (The Enchanted Circle)
The Log of the U-35 (UK remake of the above film.  Best of the two versions, film quality is far better but doesn't have the same feel as the German version)

Those are my WW1 movies.  I'm looking to increase my collection with some WW1 era documentaries that were made like "History of the World's Greatest War" and "Pershing's Crusaders".

Hey remember that movie about the Modern CV that got thrown back into time? "The Final Countdown"? I know, preposterous! But how were the flight scenes in it? I never saw it.

I have Memphis Belle. Both ones, "I actually liked the movie too tho it was a bit tripe'ish"

633 Squadron (based on Frederick E Smith's first book in his series, haven't seen the movie yet but did real the book. Was great)

FlyBoys (WW1 based movie, not historically accurate but has good fight scenes)

One thing I am trying to track down is the Baa Baa Blach SHeep seasons...anyone know where I can get my hands on those?

Here is the movie I mentioned earlier, it's a must see.



Plot
The film tells the story of Douglas Bader, a pilot who lost both legs in a flying accident in 1931. He persuaded the RAF to let him re-join the service at the start of World War II and fought in the Battle of Britain. He was taken prisoner in 1941 after being forced to bail out over France, and was later imprisoned in Colditz Castle. The film continues to his release in 1945 when Bader is again able to lead his men in a flypast commemorating the war's end.

Watched "The Dam Busters" yesterday. My Gosh but those guys had guts. You really have to hand it to the Brits. They always had guts.

The story may seem a bit dry by todays standards but I prefered it like that. Even the modeled special EFX worked well for the movie.

For you Lancaster guys theres a whole lot of excellent Lancster shots, including some awfully low level. All in all a great WW 2 flight movie.
