The only good stick I have used is the X52, been using it for about a year. I have loved the stick from day-1, but I have also hated it from day-1. It's kinda like a girlfriend that's great in bed but you want to kill her the rest of the time.
I like how it functions and I like the profiler (though it took me 6 months to figure out how to use the profiler, the instructions suck), but this stick gives me more problems than its worth. It seems to loose power randomly, does it about 1-3 times a night. It will blink out and come back on real quick. The problem is if you are in the middle of a turn when it looses power, when it comes back it will re-calibrate based on where you are holding it at the time. It usually happens in the middle of a dog fight. I will be holding the stick nearly all the way back, and I see the LEDs blink and I know the fight's over. Once you let the stick go the game thinks you are pushing it all the way forward. All I can do is unplug it and plug it back in. Problem with that is 1/3 times I do it my computer goes to a blue screen and reboots itself. Then when I get back in the game the pilot I was fighting is giving me crap about escaping out of the fight.
That's the main problem I have, but there are a bunch of other weird things that happen with it, like the uncontrollable mouse cursor after I exit the game; have to reboot to get it back. I also wish the spring was a little stiffer, though I have seen a YouTube film showing an easy trick for making it stiffer.
Honestly, having used the X52 I would not recommend it to anyone. I will be moving to a CH complete flight control system next.
