N.Korea knows we <the U.S.> are stretched to thin militarily. This is more than a missle/rocket test. IMNSHO this is a test of our ability to actually stop them. There will be alot of eyes watching the outcome of this and many of them are not to friendly to us.
Nothing good will come of this either way it goes
Crap now I gotta redo my cool sig.....crap!!! I cant remeber how to do it all !!!!!

with the technology available to us, i'm thoroughly surprised that we don't know exactly what it is.

If any, Korea gets any military technology it's from from Russia and probably even a little more from China.  However, these powers know that giving anything more than slightly harmful technology to a beligerent nation destablizes the region.  I don't think they want that.

So far, it's simply been boasts, sabre ratling, and unsubstantiated claims.  Scientists are still unable to determine if NK's "nuke test" was a sub megaton nuclear blast or just NK setting off all the conventional stuff they could get their hands on as a ruse.

How far does NK expect to get in a war with soldiers who already don't have enough to eat?

Meh.  Let Japan deal with them.  I'm sick of us getting involved in other peoples crap that will not appreciate it.

I love the Japs but hey, come on - unless they BEG us for help we can't continue to be the worlds parents.  And like parents, we sacrifice only to have it throw back in our faces.

If they mess with us, I say we obliterate their industry.

Doesn't make sense? Even if it is just a satellite, I wouldn't want failed Korean technology coming at my country, especially if it has one of the tightest packed populations on earth.

The fact is it was Nuclear..  There was substantial evidence for this in testing of the air that produced radio-active isotopes..  The final reports say the yield was less than 1 kiloton..
About the size of a TacNuke, if not smaller....?
