Vegas this weekend? Any good ideas?
« on: March 30, 2009, 02:41:42 PM »
Heading there for a quick get away with the wife from the 4th-8th.  We have been a few times in the past and know most of the usual suspects.  Any good shows or trips?

A lot of people don't realize this:

Mt. Charleston
24Hr New Snow @7am      0"
Snow Base    50"
Total Season Snowfall    157"
Snow Making in Progress    no
Comments    Primary Surface: Spring Conditions
Snow Report Hotline    702-593-9500

Gordan Biersch, Sin City Brewing Company, and Ellis Island are a few local breweries. Dude, it all really depends on your interests though. www.lasvegas.citysearch.com

I have lots of good ideas.  Oh, wait.  Your wife will be with you?

Sorry, I don't have any good ideas.

I was going to recommend that you NOT get married while there.  Too late for that I see.  Like Bat said, might as well bust out the ether then.

I second "The Gun Store" on Tropicana Ave.  I was there a few weeks ago and got the WWII package: a Thompson, an MP40, and a 1911.  Was fun, although when I go back it won't be on a Friday so I can spend more time really learning the weapons.

Some of their rental guns:

Colt M16 Carbine .223
M249 Minimi .223
AK47 Assault Rifle .223
H&K MP5 SMG 9mm
Colt M16 SMG 9mm
UZI SMG 9mm
Thompson M1A1 SMG .45
STEN MKII SMG 9mm
Madsen M50 SMG 9mm
MP40 "Schmeisser" SMG 9mm
M3A1 "Grease Gun" SMG .45

Also, the Titanic exhibit at the Luxor is pretty cool if you're into that kind of thing.  They also have a "Bodies" exhibit where you get to see a preserved organs and circulatory systems and stuff.
